Shanell Cyrus
Shanell Cyrus hails from the Spice Isle of the Caribbean, Grenada. Being a lover of children she had hopes of becoming a pediatrician but her love for nature proved her otherwise.

She is currently carrying out her internship with a Master’s student from the University of Manitoba on diurnal raptors in Grenada. She has also conducted research on butterfly abundance and diversity in different habitats in Grenada, which serves as a baseline for future research projects.
Shanell is passionate about the environment and hopes that she will be able to broaden her network from the CLiC program. She also hopes to pursue a MSc in the future with a focus in project management and believes that this program will further prepare her for this venture.
