Jonnel Edwards
Jonnel was born and bred in the Caribbean growing up on the northern shores of Jamaica which is where she believes that her love of all things marine began. She had the privilege of attending the St. George’s University in Grenada where she studied Life Sciences and Marine Biology Specialization, graduating in 2007 and staying on to work in Grenada.
Since then Jonnel’s career path has led her to the hospitality industry, where she maintains a strong position in environmental management and sustainability initiatives. It is her goal to hone further knowledge and expertise in the fields of marine conservation, hence her participation in CliC. Jonnel aims to learn of marine current affairs and concerns, meet other colleagues with similar interests, and network with the mentors who have made this program possible.
She looks forward to making a difference in the sustainability and conservation of ecosystems in the Caribbean, and to being part of the initial stages of what she is certain will be a fruitful project over the next two years.
