Quincy Augustine
Quincy Augustine was born in the lovely community of Gouyave in the parish of St. John's, Grenada. He was a former employee of Grenada Solid Waste Management Authority and the Inland Revenue Department attached to the Ministry of Finance (Government of Grenada) where he drew cadastral maps for tax purposes.
Quincy earned his Associate Degree in Environmental Science at the T.A. Marryshow Community College and is at the verge of completing his Bachelors Degree in Marine, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology at the St. George's University.
He loves the outdoors and always welcome the opportunity to work on projects and research related to conservation. As an undergraduate student, Quincy had the opportunity to be a member of the Education Conservation Outreach (ECO). As a member, he was able to be a part of coastal clean ups in Grenada, fund raising activities, and various outreach programs to raise awareness of the vital importance of the marine and terrestrial ecosystems of Grenada. He was also fortunate to be a part of environmental projects conducted by the Ministry of Fisheries and GAEA Consultancy Field Group.
Quincy is also actively involved in the community as a member of a track and field group called Speedzone.
At a young age, Quincy recognized that this is his calling and firmly believes that it is our duty to protect what was created by God. He hopes to use this experience at CLiC to increase his conservation knowledge, and ability so that, he can provide more benefit to all ecosystems and habitat conservation in Grenada and throughout the world.
