Carisha Thomas
Carisha is from the beautiful tri-island state of Grenada. From an early age she developed a passion for wildlife, and outdoor activities.
Carisha did her undergraduate studies in Marine, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology at St. George’s University. She also keeps herself active by volunteering with various governmental and non-governmental organizations on the island.
Carisha is a member of the St. George’s University environmental group, Education Conservation Outreach (ECO). She was chosen to be the group’s representative at the 2014 Birds Caribbean BirdSleuth Train-the-Trainers Workshop. She is now one of two BirdSleuth Coordinators for the island of Grenada and is actively involved in implementing the curriculum in schools.
She is also extremely passionate about educating Grenadians about appreciating, cherishing, and protecting their national wildlife heritage. The CLiC Conference will provide the necessary training needed to make a positive change in conservation in Grenada.
